Warsaw is the capital and largest city of Poland. The metropolis stands on the Vistula River in east-central Poland and its population is officially estimated at 1.760 million residents. Once described as Paris of the East, Warsaw was believed to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world until World War II. Warsaw's mixture of architectural styles reflects the turbulent history of the city and country. Below a subjective selection of interesting places in Warsaw. If you do not have a spare time we strongly recommend to have at least a short walk in the park close to Agrykola street.
